Dogs....

[Poodles]People who know me probably don't recognize me without my dogs. My two poodles, Jazz and Dante, are real bonuses in my life. They freely give so much love and so much pleasure, that I do all I can to ensure their continued health. The Internet Vet offers articles on the health of poodles (and some information about other breeds and cats.

The Dog Owner's Guide provides information about poodles and other breeds. These pages are for all pet and show dog owners. Also, Poodles Online lists top conformation poodles and offers a Poodle Museum and Poodle ads.  Another great poodle site can be found at The Wonderful World of Poodles.  The American Kennel Club is also online with information about breeds, breeders, shows, and registration. Of course, they feel obligated to include other breeds.  Fuzzy Faces has lots of links to doggie sites. CrittersChoice is sponsoring pages for dog references and POODLES ARE NOT YET LISTED!

Moreover, there are several dog lovers who have included their furry friends in their web pages. A search for "poodles" turned up 2078  references.   The Ring of Poodles is an effort to bring poodle lovers and poodle pages together.

Film and Theater

This is a scene from Madama Butterfly at the Los Angeles Opera.

Another passion for me is the Arts, particularly theater and film. Sites on the Net that are helpful for anyone out there with similar interests are:

bullet Cannes Film Festival page.
bullet Los Angeles Opera pages.
bullet Center Theatre Group
bullet Film Studies on the Internet.
bullet The Internet Movie Database.
bullet Los Angeles Times Theater section.
bullet Playbill's Theatre Central for information about theater around the world.
bullet Movie Link supplies theater listings in your area.

Information and Literature

The photograph on the left depicts the New Library of Alexandria, designed to replace the largest library of Ancient times.  The ancient Library of Alexandria was built on roughly the same site, in the fourth century BC. It became the world's first university with its college scholars including such famous names as Euclid, Erastosthenes, Heron and Archimedes, to name but a few.

I'm a real information "junky," and the romance of the Library of Alexandria has long enchanted me. However, the entire contents of this incredible library are insignificant when compared with the storehouse of information on the Internet. If you share my penchant for access to facts and trivia, and literature online, you may want to check these links:

bullet Bill's Library
bullet Bartleby.com: Great Books Online is the largest online collection.
bullet Project Gutenberg is the oldest producer of free electronic books.
bulletThe Perseus Digital Library an evolving digital library, with a primary goal of bringing a wide range of source materials to as large an audience as possible.
bullet and Jeff's Library are both excellent references to literature on the Web.
bullet Also, Bill's links to almost everything!
bullet The Kentucky Virtual Reference Desk can connect one to almost anything.
bullet Princeton's Computing and Internet Resources
bullet Princeton's Language Dictionaries and Resources.
bullet And Princeton's Encyclopedias and Reference Collection.
bullet Finally, Skidmore College offers a Virtual Reference Library.
