            Be it known that on this thirteenth day of August Eighteen hundred and thirty two by virtue and in pursuance of an order of the honorable the Court of Probates, in and for the City and Parish of New Orleans dated the twenty-eighth day of August Eighteen hundred and thirty two and granted on the Petition of Charles Anderson Jacobs of the said City. Testamentary Executor of the last Will Robert Lewis late of said city deceased, a copy of which said petition and Order of Court is hereto annexed and makes a part of these Patents

 

I William Young Lewis Notary Public in and for the city of New Orleans duly commissioned and sworn in presence of the witnesses hereinafter named and Thomas W. Farrar Esq. attorney and counselor at law, duly appointed to represent the absent heirs, went to the Dwelling House of the deceased situated in and Poydras Street, Fauxburg, St. Mary and their in the presence of said petitioners and Hardin Lewis Tillman one of eight league ATs are the said deceased and Nathaniel Cox and Samuel Elkins both of this said city duly appointed in appraisers of the estate by said notary according to law and proceeded to inventory the effects of the said deceased in presence of Wilkins Turbo Elm and Louis L. Marcelli both of this said city witnessed as aforesaid, who have hereunto signed their names with said petitioners the council for the absent heirs, one of the league ATs, the appraisers and meet the said notary    signed

          And thereupon the said Petitioner being duly sworn to declare the truth the poems that Charles Jacobs not knowing of any other property or effects belonging to the succession of the deceased in this parish that neither he, nor any other person to his knowledge has concealed are withheld in the article, matter of thing from the Inventory; that in the event of anything being hereafter discovered he will cause us notice thereof to be given to whom of ride it may concern.  Hereby acknowledging himself to be in possession of the property herein designated.  Wherefore, the said notary to hereby close the Inventory; the values of property therein contained amounting to One Hundred Forty-Seven Thousand Three Hundred Fifty-One Dollars And Sixty-One Cents .

 

Done and closed at New Orleans fourth day of September Eighteen Hundred and Thirty two.
